'Retro Pin-up' Look

'Retro Pin-up' Look

Hi guys! I am back! And I MISSED you guys soooooo much!!!! What a loooooong week that was. I'm playing 'catch-up' now both at work and play so please bear with me as I find my footing. I decided to do a quick post to get back into action so here goes. It's a simple retro pin-up look with neutral eyes, cat eyeliner and red lips! Va va voooom! And look at me wearing red on my lips....who would have thought???!!!

Eyes:

PRIME:
I started off with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base all over my lid up to the brow bone. I applied MAC Layin Low Paintpot (matte beige) all over my lid and on my brow bone as my primary base.

COLOR:
For the lid I applied MAC Bisque Eyeshadow (matte light pinky beige).
On the outer lid and  crease I applied MAC Wild By Nature Eyeshadow (matte camel) from the Leopard Luxe Eyeshadow Quad.
To deepen the outer V I applied MAC Cross Cultural Eyeshadow (matte dark yellow brown).
For highlight I used MAC Vanilla Pigment (shimmery light white gold).
I used MAC Cross Cultural Eyeshadow (matte dark yellow brown) on my lower lashline.

BROWS:
My brows are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud.

DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with Wet 'n' Wild Gel Eyeliner in Black.
I lined my lower waterline with MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in NW25/NC30 (matte light beige).
I used MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara for my lashes with Beautee Senses Adventurous false eyelashes for effect.

Lips:

POLISH:
For my lips I used Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in #75 Dragon.

Face:

FINISH:
I prepped my skin with MAC Oil Control Lotion. I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe for my face. I used MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #12 under my eyes set with Benefit Powderflage. I set my foundation with MAC Blot Powder in Dark.
I used MAC Pink Swoon Blush (matte bright blue pink) for my cheeks and MUFE #2 Sculpting Kit for highlight and contour.

  21. Absolutely stunning! I recently found your site, and have loved looking at your different looks.

I have a question. What are your tips for wearing a red lip? I've tried many, and I still get the lipstick on my chin :o(.

  23. Thx ChrLvsBks and welcome to our little beauty community here.

Girl I have the same issue with red ending up on my chin. I wish I had a solution but there is no real true way to stop this from happening besides wearing a lipstain instead or trying our best not to touch our chins with our lips. Naughty chin action!

Have you noticed any brackouts with this sculpting kit because he contains talc ?
I want to try this out, but I’m a little bit scary…

    Thank you in advance,
