'Back-To-School and Work Appropriate' Look

'Back-To-School and Work Appropriate' Look

This is a really simple look with a pop of color and is very wearable for both school and work. This is a great option for days that I don't feel like wearing a lot of makeup or when I meet with clients. I really don't want to look like a barbie at business meeting afterall. Im thinking I should do a tutorial for this look as well as a few other quick and simple looks I have in mind for those of us who are headed back to school or heading out into the workforce. Be on the lookout for those...

Eyes:

Simple! I started off by PRIMING with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base all over my lid up to the brow bone.

I then applied a mix of MAC Groundwork Paintpot (satin mid-tone neutral taupe) and MAC Layin Low Paintpot (matte beige) all over my lids up to my brow bone.

To deepen my outer lid and crease slightly, I added MAC Constructivist Paintpot (frosty dark brown with subtle red pearl) lightly and blended it in.

For the highlight I used MAC NC35 Studio Finish Concealer.

I then applied a very thin line on my upper lashline with Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner in Black.
I lined my lower waterline with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black.

For my lower lashline I applied MUFE #11 Aqua Color (yellow gold shimmer) for the inner half and MUFE #20 Aqua Cream (bright blue sheen) for the outer half.

I used MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara for my lashes.

My BROWS are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud.

Lips:
For my lips I used MAC So Bad Dare To Wear Lipglass.

Face:
I prepped my skin with MAC Oil Control Lotion. I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe with MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #12 under my eyes. I set with MAC Blot Powder in Dark.
I used MUFE #12 Sculpting Blush (matte rose pink) for my cheeks.

  2. This is totally off topic. What is your profession? I only ask because for someone who loves makeup, you are actually able to play with different looks daily. I love your creativity.

I'm trying to master facial picture taking. I would love it if you can share how you take such nice pictures. What setting do you use? What editing program do you use :) Thanks!

  4. You make putting on makeup effortless/easy. I really don't wear makeup, partially because I don't know what actually look good on me, but I do want to start.
