The Lorac Little Black Palette is priced at $33 for 0.18 oz for 4 eyeshadows and 0.19 oz of eye primer. A full sized primer is $20 for 0.47 oz of product so you get roughly 40% ($8 value) of a full sized primer as a bonus in this palette.

The palette is cheaper than M·A·C‏ eyeshadow quads and in the general range of other mid-to-high-end brands on the market. It's not a surprisingly price but not an easy one to swallow either. If you look at it based on per eyeshadow price it's not such a bad deal. This one is definitely a personal preference.

The Lorac Little Black Palette is available online at Sephora, Ulta and in Sephora and Ulta stores. It is also available on the Lorac website.

The  Lorac Little Black Palette is aptly named and packaged in a little black cardboard palette with a magnetic clasp. Inside is a gold sparkly textured lining and a decent sided mirror in the lid. There are 4 raised dome baked eyeshadows and a mini sized eye primer with its own personal cutout. It's a cute palette but not all that secure for bustling travel. And since it's cardboard it can be dented if crushed. This is not such a big deal if it stays in your vanity but be mindful if you toss it into luggage. It's not flimsy or cheap by any means but just not as rigid as hard plastic.

There are no names on the palette for the eyeshadows and I know that eyeshadows without names can be quite a hassle especially for Bloggers and YouTubers who create looks - yea ummm...3rd one, top row. But for others this may not be a big deal...you may not even notice.

Now onto the real meat of the matter - the product! Oh what a dream! When I imagined the ultimate mineralized eyeshadow these were what I envisioned.

Lorac hit the nail on the head with this formulation. The eyeshadows are creamy and buttery smooth and very pigmented whether they are used dry or wet. You do not have to used these wet to get the smooth, even coverage and rich pigment we all dream of. These eyeshadows are superb in texture and application. Because they are so buttery there is virtually no fallout when applied to the lids. They apply like cream eyeshadows to the skin but blend with the ease of powder. They also blend well with each other and other eyeshadows without becoming patchy or muddy (well unless you really overblend). Check out the swatches...wet versus dry...can't even tell the difference.

The finish is between a satin and frost. The lighter two colors have a high metallic sheen while the darker two colors are more subtle in their frost levels. When used wet the frost can be more pronounced but only slightly so.

The eyeshadow primer is also a nice little touch. It works well with these eyeshadows and just overall. I will do a separate review for this one.

The price may not suit everyone's fancy but the eyeshadows are divine! The formula is amazing! These eyeshadows are creamy and dreamy. The colors are muted earthy tones and will be great for a neutral lover. They can be used for day time looks or smoky nighttime looks as well. These are by far the best mineralized eyeshadows I have tried compared to other brands on the market. I recommend at least swatching these in store to see what true mineralized eyeshadows should feel like. If you love the colors then definitely go for it!

(P.S. Stay tuned for the Lorac Ooh La Lace Baked Shimmer & Matte Eye Shadow Palette which may strike you as a better deal!)
