MAKEUP STASH REPORT - What do you use the MOST?

MAKEUP STASH REPORT - What do you use the MOST?

Since I am away on business and can't really post looks or swatches I decided to start a new series where we can just talk about our MAKEUP STASHES. This way we can interact a little more and share our collection habits.

__________________________________________________________________________

To start it off let's talk about the products we have used the MOST of. Tell us what products you have hit pan on (where you can see the metal tin), completely used up or emptied the bottle.
__________________________________________________________________________

Here's MINE:
  1. M·A·C  Brow Pencil in Stud and Spiked. I have used at least 20 of these so far and they make up the majority of my Back 2 M·A·C items. I used these daily for my eyebrows of course.
  2. M·A·C Brush Cleanser. I have used about 6 of these so far and it is my go-to for brush cleaning.
  3. M·A·C Blot Powder in Dark. I have 3 of these in rotation - 1 for travel, 1 in my purse and 1 in my stash. I have hit pan on all of them. : )
  4. Wet 'n' Wild Crème Eye Liner in Black. I am on my 3rd pot now but I throw them out when I near the bottom of the pot. They are cream products so shelf life is less than powder but I have used them until they are almost done.
  5. L'Oreal HIP Cream Eye Liner in Black. I am on my 4th one with this one but I had to throw out 1 because it got old and dry.
  6. Covergirl LashBlast Mascara. I have only replace one mascara ever and this is it. I try different mascaras all the time but this is my no-fail mascara that I always have on hand. Replaced every few months (no specific time period for me).
  7. Smashbox Eyeshadow in Nude. I'm on my 2nd one. This is my go-to neutral eyeshadow shade....perfect for blending.
  8. M·A·C Eyeshadow in Blanc Type. I have hit pan and I have a back-up in waiting. This is my fave ivory (subtle white) eyeshadow.
  9. M·A·C Eyeshadow in Ricepaper. I have hit pan and my back-up is in my stash. I love this as a highlight shade.
  10. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe. I used this religiously for months and I am on my second bottle that I now only use for special occasions.
  11. MUFE HD Foundation in #173. Another great foundation that I used religiously and now reserve for special events. Second one in reserve.
  12. Bare Escentuals Well Cared For Brush Shampoo. I used this for deep cleaning my brushes and I am on my 2nd bottle. Thankfully, I don't used it too much and only really need it for foundation brushes.
  13.  M·A·C Makeup Wipes. These are great for quick makeup removal (and swatches). Already went through a 100 count pack. Wowza!
  14. M·A·C Oil Control Lotion. My fave oil control product. I am on my second bottle.
And I forgot to add....
  1. Shiseido Pureness Foaming Cleansing Fluid - my go-to face wash.
  2. Urban Decay Primer Potion - hate the old packaging so I bought the new Professional size with the squeeze tube.
  3. NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base - loving this as a eyeshadow primer but the tube doesn't last very long.
  4. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer - another great eyeshadow primer.

  3. In my opinion Studio Tech photos well, and has my skin looking like skin. SFF is a bit light, and ashy looking in pics. Fresh Brew is my no brainer go to nude without having to apply anything else like liner or gloss. Love it. Thanks for this post.

  4. Next MAC trip (or order) will include Studio Tech for sure. Do I need to worry about my shade being off? Or is it true to shade? I have so many nudes now but Fresh Brew sounds like one to try. Thanks for sharing mama!

  5. Oh your welcome. I havent had an issue with it for my skin, or any of the MAC clients I use it on at the counter. I know that you have oily skin as well so just be sure do to your regular prep routine, and I set mines with my blot powder.

  28. Simple but to the point Mastered. U just reminded me to add primers to my list. :)

Thanks Viva. On my next Target run u know what I'm getting. :)

Thanks for sharing Monique. Looks like I just added Viva Glam V to my list. I hear a lot about this too but never bought. I will now even if just for charity. :) I see u love Gingerly too...I'm so glad I discovered it last year. Seems like Fresh Brew will be a darker nude on us but I'm cool with that too.

Thanks for ur list Camille. I tried the Maybelline Define A Brow but it was a bit too red for me. :( It's a nice pencil tho. Nice blush choices.

Great list Taccora! Girl u worked ur way thru Black Black Pigment and MUFE #92? Love it! And Exhibit A? I see what u love! :) Drama and fierceness!

U have a serious list favorisntfair! I see u r on the Fresh Brew Team. :) I love Peachtwist blush too! And Nivea rules the school!

I agree with your foundation choices Victoria. MUFE HD is not for us oily girls. Special ocassion wear for me too. I love a MAC lipglass too. :)

Nice round up Sarah D. I love the Stila primer and I'm glad u like it too. Happy to see Shiseido on ur list too. I never heard of Neostrata. Are they available in the US?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi Tina, I had a quick look and it appears NeoStrata have a US website (I am in Canada). The products look very different though which is odd...I really like the moisturisers as I am an oily girl too but my skin is quite sensitive. I like it because the Level 3 cream has a high AHAor some kind of exfoliant content so it seems to shift the dead skin cells without irritating me which is a huge plus (I usually have a horrible time with face scrubs). There is a girl where I work and she has the most beautiful skin and I asked her what she used and so I have been using it ever since in the hope it would have the same results! lol

  30. Girl, I started a new job and have been missing out so much on the blogs! Love your list of items... we have many of the same because I've gone out and bought a few items that you've recommended in previous posts! Lol. Whats your go-to foundation now that you don't use your Nars Sheer Glow on a daily basis?

    ReplyDelete
  31. 1. Covergirl single e/s in "Smolder". I use it to fill my eyebrows & hit pan ages ago... I've already bought a new one, but I'm still scraping the edges of the old one to get every last bit. SMH

    2. Wet n Wild "Vanity" e/s palette...

    3. L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen mascara

  33. I guess I don't wear my makeup that often or I have too much in my collection but I can only think of a few things I use up and repurchase:

    1. Chanel Nude lipliner. Takes a year to use it all, but I always replace it.
    2. 24HR waterproof brow liner. This is a dual ended eyebrow pencil with a liquid brow liner on the other end. It's from the Japanese market. Perfect for people with scrawny brow hairs. This lasts a few months
    3. Darphin refreshing cleansing milk and refreshing toner.
    4. Jungle Products Coconut Oil. This is my lotion, makeup remover, hair, cooking, everything. It's fair trade and sustainable.
    5. Guerlain liquid eyeliner in Black. I get mad when I try to go cheap and not buy this. Nothing works better for me than this and my Chanel Kohl
    6. Chanel Kohl in Black
    7. Shu Uemura shadows in matte cool grey, matte black, and matte white. The ONLY shadows I've ever hit pan on and I've bought the black twice before.
    8. CND Stickey nail polish base. I buy this once a month
    9. Sally Hansen extra strength nail polish remover. As strong as acetone but not as hard on your nails.
    10. Darphin stimulskin eye cream
That was hard to think of but fun! I have to try some of the repeats from the other posts.
