Make Up For Ever (MUFE) HD Microfinish Blushes

Make Up For Ever (MUFE) HD Blushes

Are these worth the hype? The price? Are they really all they profess them to be?

According to Sephora.com.

What it is:
A cream blush that naturally sculpts and highlights the cheeks for a healthy glow.

What it does:
HD Microfinish Blush combines mattifying and reflecting powders to create a soft-focus effect for a radiant complexion. Its ultra-fine, second-skin texture blends seamlessly, imparting a healthy glow that's hard not to notice.

What else you need to know:
Formulated with evaporating oils, HD Microfinish Blush has a long-lasting result. Dermatologist tested. Paraben free.

Size: 0.33 oz
Price: $25

So I have collected 5 of these lovelies and I must say I am in love. So what's there to love? And anything to hate?

REVIEW:

I have oily skin so I tend to stay clear of cream/lgel blushes since they can exaggerate oiliness. But these declared a mattifying effect. I had to see if it was true.

These blushes come in a mini pump container similar to many liquid foundation bottles. The product itself is not a cream but rather a creamy liquid (again with the consistency of liquid foundation). The pump itself is a bit tricky and you can end up wasting a lot of product when dispensing. I haven't had too much issue with this because I do very light taps on the pump and get the perfect amount for each cheek.

It applies well and blends evenly and beautifully into the skin. It looks very natural since it blends in like a foundation would. To me these are pretty much blush colored foundation for your cheeks. There is no shimmery glow but rather a healthy color glow to your skin. I did get the mattifying effect on my cheeks so this may not translate well on dry skin.

The colors are gorgeous and VERY pigmented so you only need to use the tiniest amount on your cheeks. I use a flat top kabuki brush to apply these and buff them into my skin. Sometimes I also top with a similar powder blush but this is optional. I apply these right after foundation but before my setting powder since liquid blends better on top of liquid.

They have a great range of colors from a light pink to a bronzey color and can be used for blush, bronzer, contour, or highlight. They are a bit pricey but they will last a long time and are great products to work with.

Give them a try....

  5. I was also dubious of these (as I have oily skin too) but I bought "Walk of Shame" and "Quickie" last week and I really like them. I think the dispenser sucks (I wasted quite a bit on the first pump as I didn't realise so much was going to come out!).

  6. I like #9 and maybe #2? Not sure which ones would look the best on NC50 (MAC). Any suggestions?

  7. Hi Nadine! I think it really depends on what colors u r going for. If u like a redder color then #2 is for u but if you want more of a bronzey color go for #9.
For NC50 I would suggest #6 and #8. They would look great. Subtle touch of color.
