'Smoked Out Electric' Look

'Smoked Out Electric' Look

So here goes round two of my smoky eye practice sessions. I am trying to minimize the time it takes to do the eye look for a video tutorial....but alas smoky looks take a while to create because they HAVE to be BLENDED out seamlessly....and let's be real ladies...BLACK does not blend easily... : )

Fingers crossed I'll get the video up tomorrow. (Yes I am getting very pale as well)

Eyes:

PRIME:
I started off with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer all over my lid up to the brow bone. I applied NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black all over my lid as my primary base. Sonia Kashuk Large Crease Brush

COLOR:
On the lid and crease I applied Rock & Republic Fatalistic Eye Color (matte black). Sigma Medium Angled Shading E70 Brush & Sonia Kashuk Large Crease Brush
Next on the inner lid and crease I applied Rock & Republic Electric Eye Color (shimmery blue). MAC 242 Shader Brush
On the inner tearduct area I applied MAC Grain Eyeshadow (frosty nude). MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush
On the browbone area and for blending I used MAC Wild By Nature Eyeshadow (matte camel). MAC Large 252 Shader Brush
For highlight I used MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow (shimmery champagne). MAC Large 252 Shader Brush
For my lower lashline I used Rock & Republic Electric Eye Color (shimmery blue). MAC 242 Shader Brush

DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with MUFE Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow (black). Sigma Eye Liner E05 Brush
I lined my lower waterline with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black. Sigma Eye Liner E05 Brush
I used Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara for my lashes and added Beautee Senses Smashing False Eyelashes for effect.

BROWS:
My brows are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud and NARS Coconut Grove Eyeshadow (matte blackened brown). Paula Dorf Eye Definer Flat Top Brush

Lips:

POLISH:
For my lips I used MUFE #31 Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick (creamy purple pink).

Face:

FINISH:

I primed my skin with Tarte ReCreate™ Silicone-Free Primer. I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe - Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush - for my face and set my t-zone with MAC Blot Powder in Dark. I used MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC45 - Fingers : ) under my eyes set with Benefit Powderflage - Beauty Blender Sponge.

I used MAC Coygirl Blush (matte purple pink) for my cheeks - MAC 129 Powder/Blush Brush, MUFE #2 Sculpting Kit for contour - Sephora Professional #49 Blush Brush and MUFE #11 Shine On Powder (shimmery light pink) for highlight. Sigma Angled Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush
