After my Magnolia Makeup haul I was of course obsessed with the colors and wanted to play. My fave pigment from Magnolia is Aerial which a a beautiful turquoise color! Oh For The Love Of Nude SHOES

Oh For The Love Of Nude SHOES

You may know that I love the nude shoe trend that has hit our fashion plate since last year and it is still in full swing in my closet. I picked these nude suede platform pumps up during Love My Shoes Buy One Get One sale and I LOVE them! Nude shoes are great for adding length to your legs because they give the illusion of bare skin.

These are a whopping 6 inches high and someone in the store was wondering if I could even walk in them.....Hello Miss have we met? I'm Tina (aka Fancy Face) and heels are my staple footwear....6 inches? Ha! Easy as cake! Well mostly because there's a platform to help me along. : )

But I will not lie...I twisted my ankle a bit when I was getting into my car...oops! At least I didn't fall over and crack my head open. Happy Friday all!

Magnolia Makeup BLACK FRIDAY Haul

Magnolia Makeup BLACK FRIDAY Haul

Hopefully some of you took advantage of the Magnolia Makeup Black Friday Sale that I posted here. I did an original review which can be seen here and a few look using the products here, here, here and here.

So obviously I like these pigments and I'm not just saying that... : ) ....by now you should know that is not my style. I am very honest about products I like and don't like and I will only recommend things I would use myself.

Anywho...I of course had to support the company and grab a few more pigments at 50% OFF. The individual pigments are still on sale now at $5 a pop so get them now while they are still at this reduced price! And you are getting great quality and quantity for $5!

You can order via the website http://www.magnolia-makeup.com/ and they offer international shipping!

Here's what I got...and this may be TMI but I had a slight orgasmic rush when I was swatching these colors...makeup lovers may understand the feeling.

002 Kente - A bold yet earthy orange with lots of gold shimmer.
004 TuTu - Such a girly color. Tutu is a light pink with just a touch of shimmer.
005 Green Tea - A breathtakingly refreshing green with gold and green shimmer.
008 Orange Colored Sky or O.C.S. - Flash! Bam! Allakhazam! What a phenomenal color. Orange Colored Sky is a stunning, satin, gold infused orange.
015 Colores - Colores is a super fashionable minty turquoise.
022 Big Shot - Big shot is a rich, true orange with a stunning gold sheen.
025 Aerial - A beautiful teal. Like something from under the sea.
026 Saffronia - A pretty yellow with gold sheen.
091 Felicity - Felicity is a mid-toned silver.

 002 Kente -- 004 TuTu -- 005 Green Tea -- 025 Aerial

015 Colores -- 022 Big Shot -- 008 O.C.S. -- 026 Saffronia -- 091 Felicity

I almost died when I saw these colors in person. I wanted to run around and dance! My ultimate favorite is Aerial and I think this one is a MUST HAVE! Other faves include Green Tea for that great chartreuse color, Colores is a perfect substitute for MAC Clear Sky Blue but not as matte, O.C.S is now my fave yellow (I just love it so), Big Shot and Kente are just divine oranges, TuTu is a great light pink that blows Sugarpill Birthday Girl out of the water (this was what I wanted the Sugarpill color to be). Now I must take a breather before I really pass out!

And the lips...well hello my dear Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in #75 Dragon...where have you been hiding?

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Radiant Touch

Yves Saint Laurent TOUCHE ÉCLAT Radiant Touch

The beauty secret of the world's top makeup artists and models, Touche Eclat is the original must-have for a radiant, flawless face.

Like a touch of magic, it adds unparalleled radiance to your skin. It's formulated for all skin types and for anyone who wants instant radiance, luminosity, and lift.

How to use: Apply on bare skin or over make-up, then blend with the fingertips for instant radiance and freshness.

For all skin types.
Size: 0.1 oz
Price: $40

So by now you have probably heard all about this product, maybe from YouTube or Beauty Blogs. It's an uber luxurious highlighter product that is supposed to change your life! If you read the claims above then for sure this is a miracle product right? Hmmm...but what do I think?

My 4 Ps

Price
This is priced at $40 for 0.1 oz. I'm going to be blunt here, YSL can kiss my behind with this (would use the A word but I try to be respectful on this blog). Think about this, remember that expensive NARS Sheer Glow Foundation that hurt my wallet but was still decent enough for me to buy? Well at least that cost $42 for 1.0 oz but Touche Eclat is 10% of the size and costs about the same. What the hell? Is it liquid gold? Nope...the main ingredients are water and mineral oil. Hmph! Do you see where I'm going with this?

Packaging
The packaging is a sleek gold metal cased pen with a brush tip and a button to release the product. Cute, sleek and sturdy but for the price I wouldn't expect any less. Maybe it's gold plated? I doubt it....but this is the high point of the product.

Product
Product? You mean the 0.1oz of it? Oh that! So the product is pretty much a lightweight liquid that applies sheerly to the skin. It is infused with micro-fine shimmer which I guess is to reflect light. There are 5 shades available and since it is a highlighter/illuminator then it's suitable for all skintones and shades. Seems like any other highlighter/illuminator product to me.

3 Light Peach - for medium complexions with peachy undertones
Doesn't this just look like light concealer?

5 Luminous Honey - for medium complexions with olive and golden undertones
Doesn't this just look like light concealer?

Performance
So with the price kicking me in the head and the product seemingly like any other of its kind, I thought the performance would have blown me away. Not! I'm sure lots of us associated price with quality and even a brand name with quality. Maybe sometimes we even do so subconsciously and just think a product is so freaking awesome because, well it has to be based on the label and price tag right?

I honestly think that is the case here. YSL is no up and coming brand. No way! Yves Saint Laurent (yes throw in the french pronunciation here) is a high end luxury brand my dear. So I can raise my nose at you if you don't use this product because it is wonderful and expensive and I use it!

Now that I have taken my pompous head out of my rear, let's be real. It does nothing that it professes to do...at least not for me. Maybe I just have super tired eyes and mega dark circles or something. Or maybe the product is all hype and no bite. Yes it adds radiance (with it's light reflecting shimmer) but I didn't get the miracle illuminated well rested effect they purport. In fact, I can get a better effect with a lighter colored foundation and some strobe cream or any cheaper illuminator.

I'm not saying it does not do something and it's not cute and all. It is a nice product to have and it does add some brightness to the undereyes and can be used to highlight other areas. But it doesn't deliver the miracle it declares and what I would expect from such a whopping price tag!

Overall
Don't buy into the hype. Find a cheaper alternative illuminator!

Have you tried it? Do you love it? Hate it? Am I just a jaded beauty lover? : )

GUESS by Marciano SHOES

GUESS by Marciano SHOES

So I did a post late last week about the Love My Shoes Buy One Get One Sale and of course I was all over it myself. I love those sales! I can get two for the price of one! With the price being what they were for these shoes I better get two for the price of one darn it!

These are suede and leather wedge platforms with lace weaving and they are just fierce! I love them! Plus they are comfortable as well.
