MAC Alice + Olivia Collection - Pigments and Thoughts...

This collection, although small, packs a big punch! The MAC Alice + Olivia Collection is a collaborative effort between MAC and haute fashion label Alice + Olivia.There is special edition packaging and 9 products to choose from - 3 Dazzleglass Cremes, 3 Pigments and 3 Nail Lacquers. Although all the products were fun and fabulous I was only interested in 2 of the pigments.

Pigment ($19.50 U.S. / $23.50 CDN)

• Later. - Black with transforming purple pearlized pigments (Limited Edition)
• If It Sparkles… -White with transforming pink pearlized pigments (Limited Edition)
• Partylicious -Turquoise with silver pearlized pigments (Limited Edition)

While the packaging is cute, I was really won over by the products. These pigments are brand spanking new rather than re-promoted shades and the 2 that I picked up are not like any other MAC pigments I own. They apply nicely dry but are divine when used wet.

If It Sparkles... is a lot like most of the white pigments from MAC, in fact it's almost exactly like Pink Opal so I didn't see this as a must-have for me. But...

Partylicious is amazing! It's such a pretty turquoise color that reflects green and gold. I did not see the silver that is described but that certainly does not detract from this gorgeous color.

Later. is a beautiful black with purple duochrome. It's hard to describe but I think of it as a blackened purple. This will be great for smokey eyes.
