The Inglot Body Pigments are priced at $14 for 1 g / 0.04 oz of product.
The price is within the usual Inglot price range for their products while the product size syncs up with the high(er)-end brands on the market. For me this is somewhat of a double edged sword - while I am happy to pay less for these pigments than I would pay for M·A·C, Make Up For Ever and Illamasqua, I also wanted to get a bit more product for the money. But that's just me being greedy :)
The Inglot Body Pigments are within the mid-range of pigment prices between indie brands and mid-to-high-end brands. However, the indie brands and surprisingly M·A·C (well not surprising to me since MAC actually has great price/size ratio for their pigments) give more product for the price versus the Inglot product size.
Either way, you get a lot of product for your money and will probably not run out of one of these pigments any time soon even with regular usage. Inglot Body Pigments are offered at a good price and are great quality!

There is a label on the bottom of each jar that indicates the eyeshadow number, size, company location, suggested shelf life.
Inglot uses numbers for their products rather than names which can make our makeup lives difficult to say the least. Names are much easier for us to remember and it becomes quite a task to recall numbers for swatches/looks/tutorials/random makeup chats! I suppose it would be daunting to give names to all their products now but I wish they would consider it.

The The Inglot Body Pigments are available in both matte and shimmery finishes but this review is focused solely on the matte shades which happen to be my all time favorite eyeshadow finish.
The Inglot Body Pigments (Mattes) are packed with intense color payoff. Even the lighter shades have great color payoff in a single swipe. The deeper shades have much better pigmentation in a single pass while the lighter shades can be blended out for a wash of color if that is your preference. Some of the shades can and will stain the skin due to the intensity of the color. Be sure to use a primer under these to prevent or minimize any staining which may occur - the bright pinks and purples are prone to staining.
The Inglot Body Pigments (Mattes) are loose pigments which means they will have some level of fall-out associated with them. Fall-out is result of loose particles falling onto the cheeks or undereye area during eyeshadow application. This can be assuaged by using a dense brush with these pigments and ensuring that excess product is 'tapped' off before applying to the lids. Also, it is best to pat/press these colors on rather than swipe then back and forth. With matte shades there can be a lost of color/intensity while blending different shades together. These are no different and again should be patted/pressed onto the skin to maintain the desired intensity of the colors.
Remember these can also be worn on the face as blushes and mixed into lip colors. Just use a fluffy brush to get a sheerer application of color on the face or mix these with lipgloss or lipstick for add oomph to your lip colors.

Use of these colors in the 'non-recommended' areas should be done at your own risk!
The Inglot Body Pigments (Mattes) wear perfectly well without a primer without fading or creasing. I get at least 6+ hours of wear without fading when used without a primer. The darker shades have more longevity of course. But since I never wear eyeshadows without primer (and some of these shades stain)...I get 9+ hours of fade-proof wear when used with a primer/base.
The Inglot Body Pigments (Mattes) are just divine! I am just in love! These are great fun colors for the summer for those of us who love bold bright colors. There are also a few neons and hard-to-find colors that are sure to tickle your fancy. Neutral lovers these are not for you. Remember that these are matte shades which may not be everyone's cup of tea. You can check out the shimmer versions of these Body Pigments if that is more your style.
I'll just say I highly recommend these and if they are up you alley then definitely CHECK THEM OUT!

Matte white with good color payoff. Very smooth and applies well without being patchy or powdery as some other matte whites.
Light lavender shades with blue undertones. Really unique and beautiful color.
Matte dark brick red/orange which deepens when applied over a primer. Odd results...not my fave.
Bright neon coral with intense color payoff.
Bright mustard yellow that applies lighter than it looks in the jar.
Bright sour apple green that applies a bit darker than in the jar.
My fave color. Bright almost neon cyan blue.
Subtle dusty rose pink color - softest and smoothest of the bunch.
Second fave. This blue based purple/violet is divine. Rivals MUFE #92 Eyeshadow.
Hot hot neon pink. So bright it's hard to capture in a picture. Be mindful because this one stains. Dare you to find another bright neon pink like this.
Neon sunshine yellow that applies slightly patchy. Use a good primer/base with this guy.
Intense matte black. Very true black that seems slightly shimmery in the swatch but applies matte on the eyes.
- They are truly beautiful! :) I need to get my hands on a few!

ReplyDeleteAbout names/numbers ;) I work for Inglot in Poland, the country of origin of this brand. There are many older people, who buy a lot of Inglot's products, so I think it would be difficult for them to pronounce english names.
But I think the reason of giving numbers instead of names is time, that Inlogt is aviable worlwide. First store abroad was opened in 2006, and Inglot exists since 1983, they probably didn't bother about english names, they probaly even thought they gonna be as famous abroad as they ae now ;) Numbers were just easier ;)
