'Moment of Clarity' Look

'Moment of Clarity' Look

One of my all time favorite eyeshadows from MAC is Clarity and it has my fave finish, the glorious creamy Matte2. It's such a pity MAC had discontinued so many of the Matte2 eyeshadows. I found my back-up at Nordstrom so I know there are still a few floating around in makeup-land. If you can get your hands on Clarity or Velvet Moss don't hesitate!

And if you haven't picked up Naked Dark Pigment...this is a definite must try too. I realized that it had a beautiful pink/purple pearl in the finish beautiful.

Eyes:

PRIME:
I started off with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base all over my lid up to the brow bone. I also applied MAC Layin Low Paintpot (matte creamy beige) all over my lid and up to my brow bone as my primary base.

COLOR:
On the inner tear-duct area I applied MAC Vanilla Eyeshadow (matte ivory).
On the inner lid I applied MAC Naked Dark Pigment (shimmery golden nude w/ pink pearl).
For the middle of the lid I applied MAC Clarity Eyeshadow (matte vibrant blue).
On the outer lid and crease I applied MAC Black Black Pigment (matte black).
I used Smashbox Nude Eyeshadow (matte nude) for blending.
For highlight I used Bare Escentuals Clear Radiance All Over Face Color (shimmery light pink).

BROWS:
My brows are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud.

DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with Wet 'n' Wild Gel Eyeliner in Black.
I lined my lower waterline with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black.
On the lower lashline I used MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow (shimmery champagne), next to MAC Clarity Eyeshadow (matte vibrant blue) and NARS China Blue Eyeshadow (matte dark blue) on the outer lashline.
I used MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara for my lashes and added Beautee Senses #136 false lashes for effect.

Lips:

POLISH:
For my lips I used e ClĂ© de Peau BeautĂ© Extra Silky Lipstick #109.

Face:

FINISH:
I prepped my skin with MAC Prep and Prime Skin. I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe with MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #12 under my eyes. I set with MAC Blot Powder in Dark.
I used MAC Instant Chic Blush for my cheeks

  4. Gorgeous Look Tina! This question has nothing to do with makeup..lol. I remember you saying in one of your videos you colored your hair black to match your natural hair color to get rid of the lighter color you once had...what color did you use? or did you get it done professionally? It seems its PERFECT.

  5. Thanks so much my lovelies! Clarity is truly A+ on my list. I may do a similar look for a tutorial featuring neutrals with a pop of color.

  6. Hey Santana girl! Thanks hon.

Yep. I color my hair black to cover the light brown ends while I grow it all out. I do it myself because it much cheaper and I get the same results. I use a brand called UMBERTO that I got at Ulta. The color is natural black and the product is gel based rather than cream or liquid. It also comes in no-mix packets that you just squeeze onto your hair.

I still mix it in a color bowl tho and just use my gloved fingers to apply it to my hair. It coats really well and the best part is that it doesn't drip and run like other hair dyes.

It's really intense color and lasts for at least 6-8 weeks on my hair. AND u can use shampoo right after coloring and u know u can't do that with other dyes. And it leaves my hair shiny to boot.

Oh but I have an allergic reaction to this dye but I do with all black hair dyes it seems (I have tried 5 different brands with the same effect). I don't have the same reaction to other colors tho...just black. It's weird but I need to dye so I just deal with it.

    Enough rambling....HTH
