Fresh & Easy Cut Crease Look PLUS Tutorial
Hey hey hey! So as requested I did a cut-crease tutorial showing the easy way I do it. I hope you guys actually find it easier to do than the traditional defined crease look. Let me know what you think. Here are the pictures and products and even my inspiration - you get a three-in -one!
Eyes:
PRIME:
I started off with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base all over my lid up to the brow bone. I also applied MAC Layin Low Paintpot (matte creamy beige) all over my lid and up to my brow bone as my primary base.
COLOR:
To start defining the crease I applied Illamasqua Anja Eyeshadow (matte light blue).
For the second layer I used MAC Blue Cyan Pigment (matte bright blue).
On top of that I added Inglot #70 Eyeshadow (matte vivid blue).
To deepen the crease I added a bit of NARS China Blue Eyeshadow (matte dark blue).
On the lid I applied MUFE #6 Aqua Cream Color (matte pink) to the border of the crease.
Then I added the pink color from MAC Fresh & Easy MES (satin pink) on top of the cream base.
For highlight I used Bare Escentuals Clear Radiance All Over Face Color (shimmery light pink).
BROWS:
My brows are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud.
DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with Wet 'n' Wild Gel Eyeliner in Black.
I lined my lower waterline with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black.
I used MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in Process Magenta (matte magenta) on the middle of lower lashline with NARS China Blue Eyeshadow (matte dark blue) on the outer lashline.
I used MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara for my lashes and added MAC #7 false lashes for effect.
Lips:
POLISH:
For my lips I used Illamasqua Move Intense Lipgloss.
FINISH:
I prepped my skin with Stila One Step Correct. I used Lancome Teint Idole Fresh Foundation in Suede 1N with MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #12 under my eyes. I set with MAC Blot Powder in Dark.
I used MAC Pink Swoon Blush for my cheeks topped with MAC Petticoat MSF.

I Love love love this! thank you soo much. The way you did it in the tutorial seems super easy. Much less a dramatic process like others seem to do. Ive seen women draw a line out where their crease is and then go from there....definitely couldnt pull that off. Where do you find MUFE cream colors? Thanks so much again Tina! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Santana. The dramatic cut-crease looks were just too much for me. I had to find a more subtle and easier way to do it. And look I made it in under 10 mins. YAY! I think this way is more wearable for ppl who like the effect but not the drama.

ReplyDeleteThere seems to be some interest in the foundation switch. I decided to give Lancome Teint Idole Fresh a try because I was hearing great things about it.
I'll do a post with an overview of all the foundations that I own and the pros and cons of each just so you guys can read about my experiences before trying out a foundation of your own.
I've got a question about your color lenses. I'm going to wear lenses, and i've read that you musn't wear falsies,neither khol on you waterline. I've also read that we must put them on BEFORE makeup and that we should throw away our mascaras and liners after a month.

ReplyDeleteContacts are very tricky to wear with makeup. It is recommended that no makeup should be worn on the waterline. As far as lashes go, I think those are fine since they are on the outside of your eye. Also, you can apply contacts before or after makeup application based on your preference.
The reason for these recommendations is simply that makeup particles can get onto the contacts and even under them and cause irritation, damage to the contact or scratch your cornea (most severe of course).
Now what I do to keep from ruining my contacts or my eye is put my contact in after makeup application. While I'm applying eyeshadow and liner, residue and particles can get into my eye quite often. I make sure to clean all that out of my eye before I apply my contacts. I haven't had any trouble once I make sure all the makeup is out of my eye and thoughout the wear of the makeup since it stays in place.
I do avoid glitter of any type though since there tends to be fallout at any given time and I can't risk that with contacts.
