'Blackened Sunshine' Look

'Blackened Sunshine' Look

In celebration of the terrible weather I decided to darken my sunshine....LOL! It's raining and pouring and cold and spring is still waiting to be sprung. This could also be considered a bumblebee look but I was thinking of sunshine instead...

Eyes:

PRIME:
I started off with Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lid up to the brow bone. I also applied MAC Layin' Low Paintpot (matte creamy beige) all over my lid up to my brow bone as my primary base. As a secondary base on my lid I applied Inglot #84 Gel Eyeliner (matte yellow).

COLOR:
On the tear duct, I applied MAC Blanc Type Eyeshadow (matte ivory).
Next on the lid, I applied Sugarpill Buttercupcake Eyeshadow (matte yellow).
On the outer lid and outer V I applied MUFE #26 Pure Pigment (matte black).
For blending and the crease I used Smashbox Nude Eyeshadow (matte nude).
For highlight I used MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow (shimmery champagne).

BROWS:
My brows are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud. I am trying to grow thicker brows at the moment.

DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with Wet 'n' Wild Creme Eyeliner in Black.
I lined my lower waterline with Loreal HIP Creme Eyeliner in Black .
On my lower lashline I also smudged a bit of MUFE #2 Metal Powder (yellow gold).
I used MAC Opulash Mascara for my lashes.

Lips:

POLISH:
MAC Totally Bang! SuperGlass.

Face:

FINISH:
I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe with MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #12 under my eyes. I set with MAC Blot Powder in Dark.
I used MUFE #10 Sculpting Blush for my cheeks.

  2. Brrrr, we have the same weather here. Only advantage is, the rain dampens the pollen.
Love the look, It's pretty! Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love this look. I tried to recreate it and mine turned out really bad. I need to invest in some good matte eye shadows.

Yay Tysh! Let me know how u like the SS197...I don't have any of their other brushes because I already have my MAC ones so...

Thanks 1xellus1...It's almost summer and it's still so cold! Bring on the heat! But u r right about the pollen tho.

Thx Vixxan! Mattes can be tricky work with but remember we r our worst critics so it may not be as bad as u think :) But I do agree that good mattes are hard to find...try MUFE or Inglot for great mattes!

Thx so much Doll! I'm glad u like it!
