REVIEW & SWATCHES | Sleek MakeUP BAD GIRL Palette
Sleek MakeUP |
BAD GIRL Palette
I Divine is a highly pigmented, soft touch eye shadow palette that possesses 12 pearlescent or matte shades. The pearlescent shades possess a large amount of mica and reflect the light giving a shimmering effect to the eye. The colour viewed in the palette is the colour that will be applied to the eye, as the payoff is excellent and the formulation is long lasting.
Bad Girl contains strong and deep shades which allow one to uncover their hidden fantasies. This palette can be extreme, powerful, confident as well as sensual.
We've recently given our i-Divines a makeover! The outer packaging has been updated and the way the eye shadows are pressed are different. They are now pressed flat instead of the original waffle print.
Standard International Delivery within 10 to 15 working days

The Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes are priced at $10 each 12 x 1.1 g of product on the Sleek MakeUP website with an additional $10 - $13.50 for international shipping to the US.
I
need to factor in the shipping because these palettes are not available
in the US (as yet...rumors are they are coming to the US very soon) and
you will need to pay for international shipping. Honestly I don't think
the shipping is outlandish either since they are coming from the UK
afterall. Now obviously the more products you purchase the better the
deal will be since the shipping cost covers the entire purchase.
Plus you can combine your order with friends to break up the shipping
costs.
The Bad Girl Palette retails
for $10 which is quite a deal. You get 12 eyeshadows that
contain 1.1 g of product each for a grand total of 13.2 g of
product. Compare these to M∙A∙C Eyeshadows which are $14.50 for 1.5g of product. Even with shipping these amount to less than $2 per eyeshadow. Quite a steal.
These are considered drugstore makeup in the UK....our equivalent of say NYX or Wet 'n' Wild. They are priced closer to NYX palettes rather than Wet 'n' Wild (no one beats WnW prices).
The Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette is available in the UK at Superdrug Stores but for beauty lovers in the USA we are only able to order these palettes from the Sleek MakeUP website. However, there are plans to supply Sleek MakeUP in US stores very soon so be on the lookout for that!
These Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette comes housed in a sleek (quite fitting) black palette with a full-sized mirror inside the lid.
The eyeshadows are arranged in 2 rows of 6 and are a bit smaller than a M∙A∙C Eyeshadow. Each eyeshadow is embossed with a waffle design but this is soon to be replaced with a flat design instead. The eyeshadows They also come with a double ended sponge applicator which is recommended for 'best results' - for me these are toss-outs!

The palette sports the sleek makeup logo on the front and a label on the back indicating the name of the palette, the ingredients and all that jazz.
The palettes come with a clear plastic insert sheet that bears 12 names for the eyeshadows. It's easy to reference the colors without creating your
own labeling scheme. But you may mix the inserts up if you own a few of
these palettes plus you may lose the sheet accidentally (or on purpose)
once you start using the product. I have written the palette name on
each insert to keep from swapping them with others. Maybe Sleek MakeUP
will step it up a notch and add a label with the names on the back on
the palettes or even imprint the names on the inside.
The Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette is a jewel-toned smokey palette with a great mix of deep matte and shimmery colors. The colors are deep, dark and perfect for smokey night-time looks. This palette is definitely for the sultry vixen in us all!
TEXTURES & FINISHES
There are two different textures to be found in these palettes - Mattes and Shimmers.
Mattes - There is really only two true mattes in this palette - the black (Noir) and burgundy (Rebel) shades. But the other black shade (Underground) is what I would consider a semi-matte with very very subtle shimmer. The mattes are soft and finely milled but not quite
creamy or buttery in texture. On the good side they are not powdery or chalky and they apply richly to the skin.
Shimmers - The shimmery shades are lovely. They are smooth, silky and decently soft. Blade, Intoxicated and Twilight have a high metallic sheen while the other shimmer shades have a low-to-medium frost finish.
PIGMENTATION
The pigmentation of the shades in the Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette is just superb. The colors all have great color payoff and apply very true to
the color in the pan. The two lighter shades - the highlight shades - are pale in color but have good color payoff for what they are meant to be.
COLORS
The Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Paletteis truly a smokey lover's dream! There are 12 deep, dark, sultry shades that are divided into 6 color matching pairs - 2 each of champagne, silver, black, blue, green and purple.
The pairs in the top row have very little difference in color but vary slightly in the texture. Both colors in each pair seem to be the same overall tone but the first shade is more shimmery/frosty than the second shade. You can see this more in the swatches. It seems slightly odd that the colors would be almost identical with only a variation in the texture. But if you wanted the same color in a more matte finish/texture then the first row will be just what you have been looking for.
The second row shows more variation in color with the first shade being lighter in color in addition to being more shimmery/frosty in finish/texture. The blues are however, very similar in color. The green and purple shades are very different from each other with the second 'purple' being more burgundy in color and matte in finish.
All in all, all the colors are gorgeous and would be perfect for night time and more intense smokey looks. They complement each other very well and mix nicely together.

APPLICATION
The eyeshadows in the Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette apply very well to the skin with minimal fallout. Since these are darker shades though I would recommend tapping off the excess eyeshadow before applying to the eyelids. These work best with a dense eyeshadow brush to pack on color. They actually work well with or without an eyeshadow primer/base and blend easily with each other and other eyeshadows as well.
WEAR
The eyeshadows in the Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette wear very well especially the deeper shades for 6-1/2+ hours without any fading in
intensity or creasing when used alone. When used with an eyeshadow primer/base the wear is prolonged a couple of hours for 9+ hours of wear without creasing or fading.
The Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Bad Girl Palette is a great sultry palette for nighttime and smokey looks and will
work perfectly for a variety of skintones. The colors are pigmented and wonderfully smooth.
There is a great assortment
of colors and finishes but they are not quite unique. You can definitely find dupe-able colors already in your collection or from other brands and if you already own other Sleek MakeUP palettes. But I think overall this is a great option to grab if you want to try Sleek MakeUP palettes or if you are already IN LOVE with them!
