'Blue Iris' Look
This look was inspired by a blue iris and is a part of the Flower Inspired Weekly Challenge at MakeupGeek. This is a really intense cut-crease look that some may not find "wearable". This is meant to be a creative or artistic look rather than "work-appropriate". : )
Inspiration
Eyes:
PRIME:
I started off with NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base all over my lid up to the brow bone. I applied Kat Von D High Voltage Primer in Skin (creamy beige) all over my lid and slightly into the crease as my primary base. MAC 242 Small Eye Shader Brush
COLOR:
To create the cut-crease effect I used MAC Marine Ultra Chromaline (matte bright blue). MAC 266 Small Angle Brush
On the crease I applied MUFE #159 Eyeshadow (matte violet blue). Sonia Kaskuk Large Crease Brush
To deepen the crease I used Magnolia Makeup Mystique Pigment (shimmery vivid blue). MAC 228 Mini Shader Brush
On the browbone area for blending and highlight I used Magnolia Makeup Buff Pigment (matte light beige). MAC 252 Large Shader Brush
On my lid I used MAC Vanilla Eyeshadow (matte ivory w/ sparkles). MAC 242 Small Shader Brush
For the outer lid I used Inglot #29 Loose Eyeshadow (shimmery golden yellow. MAC 242 Small Shader Brush
For my lower lashline I used MAC Landscape Green Chromaline (matte grass green). MAC 242 Small Shader Brush
BROWS:
My brows are filled in with Inglot Gel Eyeliner in #83 (matte brilliant purple) and MAC Indian Ink Eyeshadow (matte purple). Paula Dorf Angle Liner Brush
DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with MAC Marine Ultra Chromaline (matte bright blue). MAC 266 Small Angle Brush
I lined my lower waterline with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black. Sigma Eye Liner - E05 Brush
I used MAC Prep + Prime Lash topped with Femme Couture Lighting lash Electric Blue Mascara (brilliant blue) for my lashes.
POLISH: For my lips I used MAC Pink Friday Lipstick (bright pink) topped with MAC English Accents Lipglass (creamy pink).
Face:
FINISH:
I primed my skin with MAC Oil Control Lotion. I used Revlon ColorStay Foundation in Caramel - Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush - for my face and set my t-zone with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark - Sigma Round Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush.
I used MAC Coygirl Blush (matte purple pink) for my cheeks - MAC 129 Powder/Blush Brush and MUFE #2 Sculpting Kit for contour - Sigma Angled Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush I used MUFE Shine On Powder #4 for highlight - MAC 129 Powder/Blush Brush.
