'Winter Orchid' Look

'Winter Orchid' Look

I felt like going a bit overboard today just because.... : )....so I went with a defined crease and a multitude of colors. I also used the lovely MAC Underccurrent Pearlglide Eye Liner Pencil that was recently re-promoted with MAC A Tartan Tale Collection and let me just say I LOVE this eyeliner. I know people rave about the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils but they have nothing on MAC Pearliglide Eye Liner Pencils.  I also did a little different thing with the post (as requested by a reader)....I added the brushes I used. This is not always easy for the eye because I tend to switch back and forth with brushes during application.

Eyes:

PRIME:
I started off with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base all over my lid up to the brow bone. I applied MAC Layin' Low Paintpot (matte beige) all over my lid and on my brow bone as my primary base. Sonia Kashuk Dome Blending Brush

COLOR:
On the inner lid I applied MAC Blanc Type Eyeshadow (matte ivory). MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush
Next on the middle of the I applied Ingot #372 Eyeshadow (matte teal). MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush
Next to that I applied MUFE #2 Pure Pigment (matte bright yellow). MAC 242 Shader Brush
On the outer lid I used MUFE #92 Eyeshadow (matte brilliant purple). MAC 217 Blending Brush
To define the crease I used MUFE #26 Pure Pigment (matte black). MAC 231 Small Shader Brush
On the browbone area and for blending I used MUFE #26 Eyeshadow (matte raspberry pink). MAC 217 Blending Brush
For highlight I used Bare Escentuals Clear Radiance All Over Face Color (shimmery light pink). MAC Large 252 Shader Brush
For my lower lashline I used the MAC Undercurrent Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner Pencil (shimmery teal w/ gold pearl) - OUTER and Urban Decay Baked 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil (shimmery bronze) - INNER.

BROWS:
My brows are filled in with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud and NARS Coconut Grove Eyeshadow (matte blackened brown). Paula Dorf Eye Definer Flat Top Brush

DEFINE:
I lined my upper lashline with Wet 'n' Wild Gel Eyeliner in Black. MAC 266 Small Angle Brush
I lined my lower waterline with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black. Stila #28 Smudge Pot Brush
I used MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara in Black for my lashes and added Beautee Senses Erotica False Eyelashes for effect.

Lips:

POLISH:
For my lips I used MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick (matte neutral pinky-rose ) topped with MAC Kumquat Lipglass (shimmery tangerine).

Face:

FINISH:
I prepped my skin with MAC Oil Control Lotion. I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe - Sigma Round Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush - for my face set my t-zone with MAC Blot Powder in Dark. I used MUFE #12 Full Cover Concealer under my eyes set with Benefit Powderflage - Beauty Blender Sponge.
I used MAC Bite Of An Apple Blush (matte bright red coral) for my cheeks - MAC 129 Powder/Blush Brush.
