The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners are usually priced at $22 for 0.12 oz/3.5 g of product.

These cost the same as Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Eyeliners (0.1 oz) and Smashbox Jet Set Eyeliners (0.9 oz) but contains more product. There are of course cheaper options on the market - MAC Fluidline ($16/0.1 oz), Buxom Lashliner ($16/0.1 oz), CliniqueBrush On Cream Liner ($15/0.17 oz). And of course more expensive ones too - Lancome Calligraphy Eyeliner ($24.50/0.1 oz), Tarte EmphasEyes Eyeliner ($24/0.08 oz).

The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners are available for purchase at Sephora stores and the Sephora website as well as on the Laura Mercier website. They are also available department websites such as Macys, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners come in clear solid glass jars with plastic screw top lids. The tops of these jars are dark brown with the Laura Mercier logo printed on in light grey.

The label on the botton of each jar indicates the shade/color name, product name and size and other product details.

The jars are the typical basic design for cream/gel products - which is ideal since glass improves product life. The lids are secure and relatively airtight to help prolong the usage life of the product by minimizing exposure to air and keeping the eyeliner from "drying-out" too quickly.

There are 6 colors available in wearable shades and pops of bright color.

TEXTURE & FINISH
The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners are ultra-creamy and smooth. They are the creamiest cream/gel eyeliners I have ever tried to date.

Once they are applied and "set/dry" they give a mostly matte finish. There is no shimmer or glitter particles in these and they don't shine or reflect light as some liquid eyeliners often do.

PIGMENTATION
The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners vary in pigmentation from shade to shade. For the most part they have decent color payoff in one swipe but require a couple of layers to build opacity. See each color swatch below for individual reviews...

APPLICATION & WEAR
The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners are super soft and glide effortlessly onto the skin similar to a liquid eyeliner. There is absolutely no drag on the eyelids - they apply like a dream.
They "set/dry" relatively quickly but you still have a few seconds of playtime to perfect your application. Most of the shades need layering to get full-on intense color payoff so you will need to do a few swipes to get the desired effect.

It is best to use these with a pointed eyeliner brush to get great precision but they also work well with angled eyeliner brushes. You will get better results with these eyeliners if you use a couple of thin layers (letting the product dry between layers) rather than trying to apply just one thick layer.

The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners are long-lasting to a fault! They do not budge, smudge, crease, bleed or move until you are ready to remove them. I get well beyond 8-hours of wear from there - try more like 12+ hours. I say to a fault because removal can be difficult. You will definitely need extra-strength waterproof makeup remover for these - they STAY ON like nobody's business!

The Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liners are phenomenal products! They are so so so soft and creamy and apply like silk. They also wear FOREVER and a day! Only drawbacks are that they need some layering to get full impact color and some elbow grease to remove.

Have you tried these yet?  Interested?

Noir - true black
This is a nice black though not the inkiest black on the market. It has decent pigmentation in one swipe but I would still use two layers to get a rich color payoff.

Cobalt - bright blue
This is a gorgeous cobalt blue - the color is not true to what is seen in the jar.  It dulls down as it dries to a flat matte blue. At least 2 layers are needed for full color payoff.

 Canard - emerald
This shade has the best color payoff of the bunch. You get true color in a single swipe. It's not quite emerald green though - leans more deep teal green.

 Violet - eggplant purple
The color payoff for this shade is very poor. Multiple layers are needed for full color payoff. Its a deep purple.
